Council for years has relied on the strong financial backbone of the Tobacco Industry, and we need to finally see that we no longer have that wealth to fall back on.
Our local economy has disruptively changed , so much so, that our largest employer in Delhi is the Grocery Store.
Its time to attract new business, focus on our strengths, work with business leaders to bring a food terminal to our area- and create jobs locally.
We need to get our doctors back, as we lost an entire doctor team last year , making it harder for our people in Ward 3 to have family care.
Adding new taxes , like taxing our tourists- is old style thinking that deters people from spending their hard earned dollars.
The 40 some % pay raise for council is not reasonable and has to be mitigated . Its all starts here .
A new financial model must be implemented, first searching for efficiency, then adjusting our spending so tax increases are to a minimum.
Less hands of the Government in your pockets , inflation is caused when the government lives too well..
Our council and Ward 3- needs strong and non influenced representation.
